D+W provided planning and design for the Marine & Environmental Education Alliance, Inc. (MEEA) to build a new, state of the art facility in Scituate, MA. The proposed Ocean Campus Center is a multi-purpose, educational, conference, and community facility dedicated to training individuals in the marine and environmental technologies.
The 40,000 square foot “green” center conceptual design includes facilities for marine engine repair, marine biology studies, electronics development, global distance learning communications, public events, and conference opportunities. The design is also envisioned to support environmental sciences, water treatment, alternative energy, homeland security, fisheries, boat building, and repair. The building has capacity to serve 1,000 to 1,500 students and visitors per week.
As part of D+W’s planning and design services for the OCC, we created promotional and education materials to share with the campus community as well as the community at large.
