Coordinating a Regional Effort

Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School

Franklin, MA

Tri-County serves approximately 1,000 students from 11 member towns, requiring strong coordination and clear communication to advance the project. As Owner’s Project Manager, our team worked in close collaboration with the District and design team to guide the MSBA Feasibility Study, evaluating renovation, addition/renovation, and new construction options.

Through detailed analysis of cost, educational impact, long-term value, and schedule, the team identified new construction as the most effective solution. The preferred option was ultimately supported across the member communities, reflecting a shared understanding of the District’s needs and priorities.

We maintained structure and momentum throughout the study by guiding communication, tracking scope, and keeping decision-making aligned with project goals. By clearly framing options and their impacts, we helped navigate complex decisions while staying focused on budget, schedule, and educational priorities.

Our approach kept the process organized, transparent, and moving forward across multiple communities and stakeholders.

The approved design is a three-story, 281,500 SF facility that integrates vocational and academic programs in a flexible layout. Career technical spaces are organized into industry-based clusters, supporting small learning communities and a potential Freshman Academy.

Public-facing and post-secondary programs are positioned for secure, controlled community access. Durable materials and sustainable strategies were prioritized to reduce long-term operating costs and support the District well into the future.
