Dore + Whittier’s Owners Project Management group specializes in leading, managing, planning, and providing support to building projects. Our team consists of Construction Managers, Project Managers, Architects, Planners, and Site Representatives who are recognized for their leadership and creativity in delivering successful K-12 Educational projects.

SUMMARY

The Assistant Project Manager is a communication focused and project management team support role.  Daily activities include attending meetings with clients, producing minutes and notes of record, creating list of action items from discussions, and following up on any action items, coordinating meetings with multiple parties and producing work products and managing website updates. Other support functions will include reviewing project documentation, and assisting with change order and schedule reviews, cost and monthly reporting and project information updates.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a construction related field (Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, etc.)
  • Recent college graduates to candidates with up to 3 years’ related experience with design or construction preferred. Construction of school projects (MSBA) a plus. 
  • Ability to stay organized and handle multiple action items is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required. Experience in computer website development/updates is preferred. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. 
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment is required.
