Dore + Whittier’s Owners Project Management group specializes in leading, managing, planning, and providing support to building projects. Our team consists of Construction Managers, Project Managers, Architects, Planners, and Site Representatives who are recognized for their leadership and creativity in delivering successful K-12 Educational and Public Safety projects.

SUMMARY

The Assistant Project Manager is a communication-focused and project management team support role. Daily activities include attending meetings with clients, producing minutes and notes of record, creating list of action items from discussions, and following up on any action items, coordinating meetings with multiple parties and producing work products and managing website updates.

$60,000-$95,000

  • Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field (Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, etc.).
  • 0-5 years’ experience in the construction and/or design of Massachusetts public K-12 schools and/or public safety facilities is preferred. 
  • Familiarity with reading project plans, specifications, and reviewing the work and quality performed by subcontractors.
  • Ability to stay organized and handle multiple action items is required.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment is required  
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely is paramount.
  • Physical ability to traverse construction sites.
  • Must have a vehicle.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of projects.
  • Attend meetings with clients.
  • Produce meeting minutes and notes of record, creating list of action items from discussions, and following up on any action items, coordinating meetings with multiple parties and producing work products and managing website updates.
  • Review project documentation.
  • Assist with change order and schedule reviews.
  • Assist with cost and monthly reporting and project information updates.
  • Work with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of projects.      
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
